Role Summary:
- We are looking for an exceptionally qualified technical writer with strong experience in cybersecurity, SIEM software, and associated technologies. The candidate should have actual experience as a SOC Analyst or equivalent position with technical writing and/or quality assurance expertise in software.
- You will be the bridge between India-based developers and US-based staff writers, with the responsibility of creating and updating accurate, detailed, and user-friendly documentation.
- Main tasks involve getting well-acquainted with Securonix products, testing new features and enhancements, and creating documentation that enables customer success.
- You should be detail-oriented, self-driven, and proficient in communication in English.
What You’ll Do & Achieve:
- Work together with product developers, product managers, QA technicians, and others to capture and consolidate technical information.
- Create and keep updated product documentation, such as conceptual summaries, detailed explanations, and step-by-step guides for Securonix products.
- Take highly technical and intricate cybersecurity ideas and make them understandable, clear, and readable by a wide range of users.
- Test newly developing product features and give feedback on the usability of software so that the user experience is positive.
- Inspect and improve documentation for technical accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
- Determine missing areas in current documentation and suggest improvements based on user suggestions and technical expertise.
- Prepare team documents for editing and apply style guide rules.
- Cooperate with other authors and coordinate delivery of collaborative content.
- Participate in triaging and maintaining an online repository of documentation.
- Keep current with the most recent cybersecurity and SIEM technology advancements to ensure documentation follows industry standards.
- Provide high-quality documentation that enables Securonix users to succeed with our solutions.
Minimum Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in a Threat Intelligence Analyst, Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst, Security Engineer, Threat Hunter, or similar cybersecurity position.
- Demonstrated hands-on knowledge of SIEM software, preferably Securonix SNYPR or Unified Defense SIEM (UDS), or technologies like Splunk, QRadar, ArcSight, or Sentinel.
- Self-directed and proactive to research information from multiple SMEs.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work comfortably in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to learn new products, tools, and technologies.
- Knowledge of technical documentation principles.
- Needs to be a self-motivated individual who works as effectively alone as part of a team.
- Effective communication of technical concepts in English in writing and verbally.
- BA/BS degree in Technical Communication, Computer Science, or an equivalent technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
- MadCap Flare experience. (Desirable)
- Experience with Quality Assurance (QA) procedures, UX concepts, and UAT methodology.
