Job Description:
We are looking for highly qualified Technical Writers who specialize in niche areas in the telecommunication sector. The preferred candidates should possess a good technical background and can communicate technical information in a simplified, concise, and user-friendly format.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create, write, and update quality technical documentation, such as user guides, installation instructions, and troubleshooting steps.
• Work with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to obtain information and validate the accuracy and completeness of documentation.
• Develop and maintain online help systems, FAQs, and knowledge base articles.
• Make all documentation conform to industry standards and be consistent with company style and branding guidelines.
• Perform extensive research and analysis to know the latest trends and technologies in the telecommunication industry.
• Edit and review the work of other team members for clarity and consistency.
• Handle multiple projects concurrently and deliver under tight deadlines.
• Take ownership of the correctness and timeliness of documentation.
• Work closely with the other members of the writing group to ensure consistency in presentation, style, and detail.
• Responsible for the documentation aspect of the user experience.
• Prepare for and proactively resolve challenges individually and for the team.
• Create high-quality technical content that clearly conveys intricate details accurately, briefly, and free from jargon.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Technical Writing, Communications, Engineering, or a related field with telecommunication experience being an added advantage.
• At least 3-8 years of experience as a Technical Writer for the telecommunication sector.
• Deep knowledge of telecommunication technologies, protocols, and standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of using XML Author documentation tools like oXygen, Arbortext, MadCap Flare, or the like.
• Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and version control systems (Like Git, SDL, AEM).
• Familiarity with any of the programming languages and Python or HTML.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong organizational and attention to detail skills.
• Work under perpetual and persistent work deadlines, effective time management, and documentation support over geography time zones.
Preferred Skills:
• Knowledge of Agile development practices.
• API documentation and developer guide experience.
• Understanding of AI, RAN, Cyber and network security, IOT, Cloud, and other new technologies.
• Visual aid creation skills such as Visio diagrams, charts, and infographics.
