Job Description:
We are looking for very experienced Technical Writers with specialized experience in the telecommunications sector. The candidates should possess a technical degree background and be able to convey intricate technical data into simple, easy-to-read, and concise documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, write, and update top-quality technical documentation, such as user guides, installation instructions, and troubleshooting instructions.
- Work with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to provide information and verify the accuracy and completeness of documentation.
- Develop and maintain online help systems, FAQs, and knowledge base articles.
- Maintain all documentation on par with industry standards and align with company branding and style guides.
- Perform comprehensive research and analysis to gain an insight into the most recent trends and technologies in the telecommunication industry.
- Review and edit other team members’ content for clarity and consistency.
- Handle several projects simultaneously and work under strict deadlines.
- Take ownership of the accuracy and promptness of documentation.
- Collaborate closely with other writing team members to uphold consistency of detail, style, and presentation.
- Own the documentation aspect of the user experience.
- Look ahead and resolve issues proactively individually and for the team.
- Develop high-quality technical content that accurately, concisely, and without jargon conveys complex information.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s in Technical Writing, Communications, Engineering, or a related field, preferably with telecommunication experience.
- Minimum 3-8 years’ experience working as a Technical Writer for the telecommunication industry.
- Deep understanding of telecommunication technologies, protocols, and standards.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of using XML Author documentation tools like oXygen, Arbortext, MadCap Flare, or others.
- Knowledge of content management systems (CMS) and version control systems (Like Git, SDL, AEM).
- Knowledge in any one of the programming languages and Python or HTML.
- Independence in work and teamwork.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work with continuous and relentless work deadlines, use time effectively, and offer documentation support across time zones.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Experience with API documentation and developer guides.
- Knowledge of AI, RAN, Cyber and network security, IOT, Cloud, and other cutting-edge technologies.
- Ability to design visual aids like Visio diagrams, charts, and infographics.
